“For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. Your restoration is what we pray for.” 2 Corinthians 13:9 (ESV)

Treasures

Recently, I was driving through Whiskeytown Lake area and sadly saw the land that had been destroyed by the Carr Fire. Amidst burnt trees and sorrow, lo and behold—I spotted greenery popping up! I was immediately filled with joy and thanked Jesus for His beauty displayed amongst the ashes.

The road I am personally traveling on has been challenging, but in my despair I see treasures popping up just like the greenery around the trees. When my eyes are alert and searching for Jesus, He draws me in closer. When I am still, I see His face more clearly. He brings me an abundance of hope, love and care, and continually restores my soul.

“Lord, help us to continually put our trust in You and see you in every circumstance. May Your everlasting light shine in darkness.”
