Blessed

“He has shown you, O woman, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8

It’s Friday morning and I woke up with sweet anticipation for the new day before me before heading to women’s Bible study.

Thank You, Lord, for this new day just unfolding before us. Thank You, Lord, that You are our constant companion and You never leave us. Thank You for the sun rising over the horizon this morning giving a peek over the mountaintops. Thank You, Lord, for the birds singing out my window—for they are already happy and content with what You have provided for them today. They do not worry, for they know You are their constant provider. “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:25-27)

Thank You, Lord, for the opportunity today to go to women’s Bible study, to fellowship and learn about the women of the Bible. Thank You for the women in our church who serve to share the love of Christ in so many ways—teaching, singing, leading groups and watching over the children behind the scenes. Thank You for the women at our church office who answer the phones and help people each and every day with their needs. Thank You, Lord, for freedom we have as women to love You and worship You openly, and that by changing our hearts and minds we are growing into women who love You more and more each day. Thank You, Lord, that although we are not perfect women, we are women of faith and we are eternally grateful and blessed to live in this city, this country and this land You have given to us to dwell with You as Your children.

Oh women, please step out to join us at women’s ministry time! It’s never too late. We want you alongside of us and we need you! We need each other as women of faith to stay strong, encourage each other, and share the goodness of the Lord.

Who would have thought learning about women of the Bible would be so exciting and encouraging?

Thank You, Father, for blessing us as Your women every day to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You.
