“And having strapped on your feet the Gospel of Peace in preparation (to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and readiness produced by the Good News).” Ephesians 6:15 AMP

Fully Prepared, Immoveable, and Victorious

The above verse is part of the armor of God we need to be equipped with daily to walk this Christian life in the world to which God calls us. This is not just a good idea or after thought, but a desperate necessity.

Living and walking in the confidence of the peace we get from the Lord is our reality when we have relationship with Him. I know I need to begin my day with Him, renewing my mind and soul with His love and peace that comes from Him alone. Our good news is that we have peace with God! Jesus broke down the wall that separates because of love we can’t even begin to imagine.

“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one and has broken down the middle wall of separation” (Ephesians 2:14).

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

We have full access into His peace to be fully prepared to face each day. His peace covers us. And as we pray continually throughout the day, the anxiety and fear dissolve.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

This is good news! We have His peace and confidence because “Greater is He that is in you, than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

No matter what you’re facing, or if you’re sad or even glad, Jesus is our peace and never leaves us. He makes us prepared, immoveable, and victorious when we trust and rely on Him.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

The result is that we are contagious, and those around us will be drawn to this peace we have when all else seems chaos. This is good news strapped to our feet!

Father, thank You for sending Jesus to break down the wall so that we have complete peace and confidence with You, God. I pray we would allow You to equip us to face our days in the readiness that comes by spending time with You in the Word and in prayer. Amen
