“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants.” Psalm 116:15
My Dear Floyd

Floyd is now with his beloved Jesus! He wanted to finish his life more and more in love with Jesus. I think his heart’s desire was fulfilled.
Thank you for all the lovely messages and tributes for my dear husband. I so appreciate the love and honor you are extending to him. It comforts my heart. I am slowly reading, “savoring” everything. At least two churches that I know of took the Sunday service to honor Floyd. That was very special.
We had prayed for “healing or heaven” for Floyd, and God chose heaven. I trust His wisdom in that. After grieving for over five years already, the grief is now “final.” It is a profound grief in my heart. The tears are flowing, but they are bringing healing. I take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. I don’t know how he endured.
Floyd’s doctor told me that the hospital staff are in mourning. They loved Floyd, and considered him “family.” He said that Floyd inspired them—his courage. He called him a warrior. And all this while Floyd could not speak a word. It had to be the presence of the Lord with him.
The last few days have been intense. I’d really appreciate your prayers for added grace and strength. I had a good report from my doctor when I went for my post-surgery checkup on Friday. I’m grateful for the timing of the good news.
Many details to cover in the coming days, but I’m trying to take one day at a time.
The photo shared with this update is one I hadn’t seen until yesterday when someone sent it to me. The memory warmed my heart!
If you haven’t seen this interview with Floyd, you would enjoy it. It’s from 2015 at the Simply Jesus gathering. Click here to watch.
Jesus, thank You for preparing a place for Floyd with You in heaven. Thank You for his life among us on earth. Let Your presence and comfort be strong for Sally as she grieves. Amen.
Praying for His comfort, strength, and peace 💜
Big hugs, Sally. Nothing will fill the hole but knowing that he has been released from the discomfort of his affliction. When you can, concentrate on your treasure trove of beautiful memories and may the Peace of the Lord Almighty enfold you!
Beautiful photo! Continued prayers here for you for God’s comfort, grace, peace, and strength. He was a blessing to many…and so are you.
Hugs Sally and prayers for comfort and strength. He finished well❤️
God bless Sally. May peace abound in you and lift you up. I’m sad for your loss.
Thank you for sharing the Simply Jesus interview. It was an inspiring and uplifting discussion between two friends. Floyd was a wonderful godly person who loved. It was special to hear how he spoke about you.
Many blessings of peace shower you at this time.
