“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
Love That Can’t Let Go
The love of Christ. I think I know this, I believe this. Do I live my life based upon this fact in all I do and say? This incredible reality changes everything. I was meditating on this and am stunned and utterly delighted by this love. Love that laid down everything for us to rescue humankind from their sin and provide a way back to the Father’s plan.
Christ, who “existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature” Philippians 2:6-7 (NET).
He gave it all, and He had much more than we can ever fathom to give. This changes perspective on everything! This reality gives music to my day, and confidence and joy to live pleasing the Lord. He has me (and us) in the palm of His hand and will lead and guide us in all things. He is for us!
“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My Love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15:9-11).
The Creator of the universe, who called all things into being, who knows each individual creature’s whereabouts, deeply loves and wants us to experience His best life! When we live by His opinion, and not the opinions of others, we can let go of all else and live as He has created each of us to live. We can be His hands and feet one breath at a time, one joy at a time. Our physical oppositions can’t stop or hinder, because nothing is more important and His Spirit will carry us. We can trust and live in this hope that He will draw, guide and shape our days for His glory and our joy that comes from the LORD alone.
“Now hope does not disappoint, because the LOVE of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Romans 5:5).
Nothing can stop this LOVE. Nothing can separate us from this love, not even our own sins, because “God demonstrates His own LOVE toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
Dear LORD, please grip our hearts and stun us with this truth, that we may know this love that passes all understanding, and may we live by giving all to You and Your plan. Fill us with love, as we are Your hands and feet.
Amen and Amen!
Thank you so much for reminding us of God’s unconditional love for us. How can we not serve Him who died for us? How can we not abide in Him? I love you Jesus!
Yes Lord, thank You for your love.
