“We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.” Acts 15:11 NLT

Bubble of Grace

What an amazing God we serve, Who has given us such undeserved grace. Watching television tonight, my heart was disturbed by the unrest and turmoil in our beloved America. I turned in God’s Word to the epistles of Paul that began with “grace to you, and peace.”

I believe it would be hard to find someone in a crowd who wasn’t dealing with some difficult issues in their families, whether emotional, physical or spiritual, or all of the above. We are in a battle just like we were told we would be. Isn’t it amazing how good God is in trials?

I have a friend who talks about the grace that God gave her after her husband passed away. I don’t mean to sound like it was easy for her—certainly not! But as she tried to describe it to me, I said that it sounded like she was “cocooned in a bubble of grace.”

I desire that bubble of grace for all of us. Although we can view life and circumstances around us, no harm can come to us through that bubble because that bubble is the transparent armor of God. In that “bubble of grace”, our heads are covered with the helmet of salvation, our chest with the breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace protect and lead our feet, in one hand we lift high the shield of faith and of course in the other hand is our sword of the spirit which is the Word God has given us to live by daily.

In our bubble of grace, we can still attend to things, hear disturbing news, but nothing bothers us because we are at perfect peace. Nothing can touch us emotionally, or attack us physically or spiritually to disturb our peace, because we are in God’s protective bubble of grace, living in the peace that comes only through a relationship with Jesus. Jesus can give abounding, abundant, amazing grace that surpasses understanding. If you have a hole in your heart, Jesus is waiting for you to ask Him to fill that hole in your heart and make you whole.

Thank You, Lord, for Your peace that surpasses all understanding that will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Thank You for Your bubble of grace in turbulent times, and that You are always with us in the storms of this life.
