Abide—to remain, continue, stay, to have one’s abode; dwell; reside, endure, sustain, withstand without yielding, submitting, to await for

Oh, to abide in Jesus, it is my one desire;

To feel His love run through my heart,

It is what I require.

Oh, to abide in Jesus, to make my life His home;

To feel His peace run through my heart,

I dare not leave nor roam.

Oh, to abide in Jesus, my giftings to ignite;

To feel His joy run through my heart,

In Him I must delight.

Oh, to abide in Jesus, one day to see His face,

To feel His hope run through my heart,

I need His lavish grace.

Precious Jesus, we want to abide in You, and You in us. As we await Your soon return, may you find us bearing fruit for Your glory. Amen.
