“For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God. But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps. He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth. When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly.” 1 Peter 2:19-23 NIV
Follow His Steps
As we all know there were a multitude of difficult shapes and sizes of challenges during 2020, including loss of life. This is the year we had to endure and suffer. It is likely sin and suffering will continue into 2021. Can we say we were or will be an example and followed Jesus’ steps? We must press on. There were challenges that were quite eye-opening for us. And challenges that started as a single event trickled down to a chain reaction which affected many families, businesses, and much more. I found myself praying with more intent for many people and situations, including myself and my family. I was sustained only because of His peace and the hope He has set in me. “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
I found solace knowing my God is sovereign over EVERYTHING! I also spent time praising God for His protection, healings, others growing closer to Jesus, and many, many answered prayers. I decided to start a list of praises because I like to soak in His goodness. Perhaps you might want to start your own list! May God bless you!

Thank you for this reminder! Yes, with Jesus our glass is not only “full” but overflowing! Amen!
We Do have so much to be thankful for! Even in these trying times!
This really ministers to me today. I am going to start that list of things I am thankful for.
May our glad hearts reflect a countenance that others will desire and ask for, in the Name or Yeshua, amen.
So good to stop and ponder.
