God Sees The Small Things
On a clear cold day, in a turbulent icy mountain stream, a small delicate “mushroom ice” stood alone. Certainly, created and designed by God! I wondered how I was lured to that one spot in the fast-moving stream. Of course, God led me there! He knew mushrooms have fascinated me over the years and I would admire the beauty.
The tiny “mushroom ice” creation was quite amazing to me. God is so great and knows the small details of our lives. He delights in you and me in all things big and small. Isn’t that wonderful? I love God’s way of showing us, in His special, loving way that indeed, yes, He is here with us especially when we need Him.
He does indeed see the small things and He treats us to individualized little wonders all the time if we will just take notice of them. Thank you for sharing 😊
I was at a ladies retreat at the coast some years ago. It was a dreary, overcast, chilly evening and I was feeling very small and alone (I can’t remember now why or what life events had caused me to be cast down). I decided to spend some alone time in the jacuzzi and get warm. I whined a bit to God about my situation and remember looking up at the sky saying “and look! I wish I could at least see the moon or stars!” At that moment it was like someone opened the top of a drawstring jewelry bag as the clouds parted in a circular fashion and the nearly full moon was perfectly centered in that opening!! It lasted but a few seconds and I drank it in feeling very small and yet very seen and loved. I remember that scene and those moments and thoughts vividly, like it happened last week. God cares about even our feelings and to this day I am humbled that He would listen to my whining with love and meet me there that night. Times like those are so precious.
