“The path of the righteous is level; You make level the way of the righteous. In the path of Your judgments, O Lord, we wait for You; Your Name and remembrance are the desire of our soul.” Isaiah 26:7-8 ESV

The Level Path

During this pandemic journey, I’m finding that if I watch or listen to the media, or read the posts and the opinions of others on Facebook or social media…and if I’m not careful, I can get off the level path and submit my own opinions as well. I have at times confessed them to my Lord, and asked for His forgiveness. I struggle with the area of standing up for what I believe are our legal and Christian rights versus not saying or doing anything.

The Lord shares with us that the path of the righteous is level, and that He makes level the way of the righteous. When I don’t get wrapped up while reading the different articles, and when I completely rest in Him and lean on His understanding—I do so much better. He shows me whether to share or to not share. I’ve never bought into fear; however, the struggle that I’m sensitive to is truth versus untruths, and that is where I need God’s guidance as to what or what not to share, and when to keep silent for the benefit of others. God knows my heart, as I continue in my desire to obey Him—this is where He is taking me into another level of obedience.

I can enjoy this journey that He has me on when He makes my way level. I am righteous in Him—and only because of Him—as I wait for Him.

He makes level the pathway for each one of us. His instruction and direction is different for each one of us because He created us unique and special in His eyes. His plan for your life and my life is all for His glory…and that gets me excited!

The Lord has blessed me during this pandemic journey not only in my spiritual training with Him, but in the physical journey (I own my own business), and God continues to protect me and make a way to provide financially, to which I am ever so grateful. He is my Provider!

“The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer…” (Proverbs 15:28a).

Lord, may we continue to seek You and Your Words as it is the desire of our soul. Amen.
