“The Lord is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

Dino-Be-Gone

When my number one grandson was little, he was afraid to go to bed because of dinosaurs in the closet. So I would check the closet for dinosaurs and shoo them all away, but he was fearful that they might come back.

One night I printed a label that read “Dino-be-gone” and taped it around a can of room freshener spray, and called it “dinosaur repellent.” I would spray it around his bedroom closet and under the bed, and the dinosaurs would flee from the entire area to get away from the dinosaur repellant spray. (It would be good for them to make “Dino-be-gone” with chamomile to put children to sleep!)

Satan puts a label on a lie and calls it “truth.” Unfortunately, many of us are fooled by this deception and believe the lie. I had coffee with a friend I had not seen in quite a while. She shared how people and their cruel words had made her feel so worthless and unworthy. I told her how she had believed Satan’s lies, and she agreed that she had bitten into that fruit of deception. If only we had a “Satan be gone” spray.

Oh! But we do have “Satan-be-gone” spray. It is the name of Jesus. Say it long and say it loud! Then repeat until you no longer fear the dinosaurs or the words that people can use to wound you. Repeat until you feel the peace that only Jesus gives.

“Lord, You are our Light and our Salvation; we need not fear. Help us discern the labels of doubt, unbelief, and deceptions of our enemy. May we expose the real Truth by ripping off wrong labels and revealing You, Jesus. Let us not be fooled or tempted, but deliver us from evil, for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen!”
