“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:30

I’ll Take Care of That

“I’ll take care of that,” I believe are some of the sweetest words in the English language. I think it stems from the gift of service that God has bestowed upon me. Don’t we all desire someone to take care of “that”? It frees us up to do other things, which is the purpose for the gift of service that God gives to some in the body of believers. There are many things that need to be taken care of in the background with no recognition for the doing, and someone with this gift, when led by the Spirit, doesn’t desire applause, only to help lighten the load; but—when someone with this gift hears those words directed to them, they expect that person to follow through completely and trust will be broken if that person fails. Just a reminder to “let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’, and your ‘No’ be ‘No’” (Matthew 5:37).

People will fail us, that is true, but there is One who will never fail, our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection is the best “I’ll take care of that!” we could ever hear. He took care of:

*Our past—Hebrews 9:26

*Our present—Matthew 6:25-34

*Our future—John 14:1-3

If you haven’t received these special words for yourself, today is your day. You don’t need any fancy words; just talk to Jesus like you would any friend. Let Him know you believe He is God Who came in the flesh, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, buried, and raised again to new life.

If you have already heard these precious words, continue in the work He has for you and remember if you say “I’ll take care of that”, mean it.

“Precious Jesus, thank You for taking care of all we truly need. Help us with our promises to others. We love You! Amen.”
