“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God…” 2 Corinthians 1:1

The Will of God

I am at the start of a new phase in my life. I don’t know what it will look like, but as I read God’s Word, I know that He knows exactly what my life is supposed to be.

In the will of God…

J. Vernon McGee said, “If you are in the will of God, it makes no difference where you are or how you are or what your circumstances may be, you are in a wonderful, glorious place.”

I am learning to let go of my preconceived ideas of what my life is supposed to looks like. I am learning not to plan things out to extreme, which is hard for me…there is something comforting in having everything planned out. (Oh, the lists and calendars I have!) I want to be in the middle of the will of God day by day.

Life is never boring when you are in the will of God. It may be hard, uncomfortable and maybe even painful. Look at the life of the apostle Paul. He gave up everything to be in the will of God and spread the gospel throughout the entire known world at that time.

No, life is never boring when you are in the will of God.

I am praying that I will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and reach out to that person He is laying on my heart, to spend time in His throne room praying for my brothers and sisters in Christ, praying for the lost, praying for those on the front lines in ministries. I want to look for opportunities to serve Him as His will becomes clear. I am praying that you will join me on this journey…in the will of God.

“Lord, I pray we will be in Your perfect will each and every day; that we would be listening to Your Spirit in the things we say and do; that we would make a difference in Your kingdom here on earth; that Your will be done. Amen.”
