“All this took place that it might be fulfilled which the Lord had spoken through the prophet; Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel-which when translated, means, God with us.”                                    Matthew 1:22, 23

HIS EXAMPLE TO US

“But God…,” because of His great love for us, stepped into our world. Can you imagine? Jesus the Savior came to save us from our sins. Emmanuel, God with us, our Christmas miracle, Almighty God, Creator of the universe, came down from His throne in heaven to Earth because of His great love for us and desire to be with us. Jesus, Savior, came to show us the way to salvation, and endured the horrific pain of His death to pay in full the price of our sins—whether they be murder, anger, adultery, lies (little white ones, of course), homosexuality, unkind thoughts or words, worry, fear, gossip or our blatant disobedience to the instructions in the handbook, His Word.

 MY STORY

This year I just can’t get past the amazing reality of having God actually with me, even in me, through His Holy Spirit. Christmas flew past, and the New Year has begun, and I am still amazed by the Christmas truth. I want to keep it with me for the entire year ahead.

OUR RESPONSE

Friends, it is a new day, a clean slate before us. God With Us is our every day and every hour miracle. Jesus is the only Way to safety; the bridge to God Himself. Do you know Him? Have you experienced new life in Him? If you do not know without a doubt that if you died in the next instant, you would be with Jesus in the presence of God Almighty, I have good news for you. Just as you have been reading, God is with us. Jesus came to save us and give us eternal life with God.

We can’t gamble with eternity. Choose to follow Jesus into this everyday miracle. Just tell Him you want to follow Him. He is here with us to save us. What better way to begin a new year? Let’s allow Jesus to make a difference in our 2018. I can’t wait to see “God with us” in our everyday miracle we glibly call “life.”

 MY PRAYER

“Lord Jesus, thank You for coming as Emmanuel because of Your love and desire to be with us. Thank You for coming as our Savior because our sins needed to be paid in full so we could be with You forever. Speak to hearts, Lord. If there is one person reading this that has not surrendered all to Jesus, let today be the day of her new life, her new beginning with You.”
