The Loves of God

For the bride in Song of Solomon
The loves of her beloved are more than one.
Better than kisses smothering her!
Better than any earthly pleasure!
His loves are far better than wine
For I am His, and He is mine!
Yes, I’m the bride, and Yeshua’s the Groom,
So, let His loves my heart consume!
Like David, when I’m in the desert dry,
When Judah’s praise has turned to sigh,
I contemplate His power, His glory, His grace.
They’re better than life! They’re His embrace!
I will bless His name as long as I live,
Lift up my hands with praise on my lips!
His loves are better and more fortifying
Than rich foods, and far more satisfying!
God, give me strength to grasp from above
The limitlessness of Messiah’s loves!
Yes, to know even though it’s beyond all knowing.
Fill me with all the fullness of God to overflowing!
