“May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the Lord.” Psalm 104:34

  Sweet Meditation

A Mini Devotional

What parent wouldn’t love to overhear their child speaking aloud all the good things the parent had done, rehearsing all the wise and comforting words the parent has spoken, and acknowledging the abiding love the parent has for the child? We would then know for certain that he or she knew they were deeply loved, and that we do what we do for their good.

It doesn’t happen very often, does it? When our kids were growing up, what we usually heard was grumbling, whining, and complaining, while they questioned our good intentions and wise choices.

May it never be said of us as children of the heavenly Father, that we grumbled, whined, or complained about His actions! May our words, whether spoken or just thought, be sweet to Him.

“Lord, may we be filled with gladness, rejoicing, and wisdom, for then our meditations will be sweet to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
