Decisions, Decisions!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cYour ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, \u2018This is the way, walk in it,\u2019 whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.\u201d<\/em> Isaiah 30:21<\/p>\n

I think I need to clean my glasses. They seem to be giving me blurred vision. Every step I take seems to be deep within a fog; what is normally clear is now clouded.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t we wish it was as easy as cleaning our glasses to find out the will of the Lord? I long to come out of this swirling mess of options, of tugs on my heart, of people\u2019s opinions, and of the constraints I put upon myself.<\/p>\n

All I want is His will to be revealed to me. I cry out for His promises which are always yes and amen. I long to hear that word behind me telling me which way to turn. I long for Him to be my inspiration for all that I do.<\/p>\n

I know, I know. I am to do what His Word says. I am to obey those commands\u2014give, love, fellowship, forgive, pray\u2014and I\u2019m pretty sure I am. This is something more. This\u2014this thing<\/em> in me He knows all about\u2014needs His light shining from above so I can choose His will, His purposes in my life.<\/p>\n

I turn to the Word.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God<\/strong>\u2026\u201d<\/em> (Acts 13:36). Am I serving my own generation?<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God<\/strong>\u201d <\/em>(Romans 12:2). Am I conformed to the world in the answers I seek? Has my mind been transformed by renewal?<\/p>\n

\u201cPaul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God<\/strong>\u2026\u201d<\/em> (1 Corinthians 1:1). Do I know what God has called me to be? Do I know His giftings in me?<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God<\/strong> from the heart\u2026\u201d <\/em>(Ephesians 6:6). Am I serving from the heart? Am I doing this to be seen of men?<\/p>\n

\u201cFor this is the will of God<\/strong>, your sanctification\u2026\u201d<\/em> (1 Thessalonians 4:3). Am I living in purity? Am I sanctified, set apart for His use?<\/p>\n

\u201cFor this is the will of God<\/strong>, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men\u2026\u201d<\/em> (1 Peter 2:15). Will I be doing good? Will it silence those who are foolishly ignorant?<\/p>\n

I find many more scriptures that talk about the will of God, but these are a good starting place. Pondering the Word of our Lord is helping me, comforting me, giving me peace.<\/p>\n

I feel like my glasses are wiped clean, and I\u2019m ready to move forward with solid advice from God Himself.<\/p>\n

Thank You, Holy Spirit, for always leading us in the way we should go. May we never choose anything without first consulting Your Word, for You have spoken. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
