I prayed that I would have more of Jesus. I don\u2019t know if having more of Jesus is actually possible for a born-again Christian, since God has already given us His own self, His Holy Spirit, to live in us; and since Scripture tells us Jesus and God are one, then perhaps we could say that we already have as much of God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit as we possibly can.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, my heart persisted in prayer. \u201cWhat would it look like, Father, to have more of Your Son in me?\u201d It wasn\u2019t but a moment before these thoughts came to me:<\/p>\n<p>More of Jesus means\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more love for people;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more godly wisdom;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more realization of God\u2019s power and authority;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more smiles and joy and laughter;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more anticipation of eternity;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more right words in the face of adversaries;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more peace;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more ability to give comfort;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more obvious light in the darkness;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more awareness of God\u2019s presence;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more obedience to the Word;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more willingness to suffer;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more submission to the Father;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more certainty of triumph and victory over the enemy;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more eagerness to reach out in fellowship;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more enthusiasm to touch those who seem untouchable;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more \u201cbeing about\u201d my Father\u2019s business;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more discernment about what needs to be done next;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more patience with those who don\u2019t believe;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026more goodness, gentleness, tenderness, caring, humility;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026and more time on my knees in prayer.<\/p>\n<p>No doubt you could add to this list. In fact, would you do that in the comments section? It will bless us all, including this writer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Jesus, we humbly ask for more of You, whatever form that takes. In Your infinite wisdom, You know how to perform this work in us. We watch and wait for You, O God.
