Faith Knows How to Wait<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be weary in prayer, keep at it, watch for God\u2019s answers and remember to be thankful when they come.\u201d Colossians 4:2 TLB<\/em><\/p>\n

There was a time in my life that I had to make a major decision. My faith was tested beyond any other time. I knew God could do anything. I knew nothing was impossible with Him. He had done so much for me in many of my prior life experiences. I found myself many nights agonizing in prayer unable to come up with the words to say. God does interpret our groanings and this was the best I could do at this point. I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision. I wanted to be in God\u2019s will\u2014the place of joy, comfort, and safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful\u201d <\/em>(Hebrews 10:22-24 ESV).<\/p>\n

God revealed to me that I was vacillating in my challenge of faith. Some days my faith was at its highest level, and other days it was so low, I struggled to get through the day. It was hard to see past my present circumstances because I didn\u2019t have complete faith. I was wavering.<\/p>\n

God reminded me of the great men and women of faith mentioned in the Bible in Hebrews chapter 11. They weren\u2019t perfect people; however, they were commended for their faith and are examples for us to follow\u2014praying women and men of faith who knew how to wait.<\/p>\n

God is teaching me to stay focused on Him and to embrace faith completely. When I choose to exercise faith, I keep the enemy away. When I waver, I open the door for delays and disappointments. God is faithful in guiding me on His path, for which I am grateful.<\/p>\n

God gives us the choice to dwell on our seemingly impossible circumstances, or we can choose His way\u2014the faith way. \u201cFaith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people of old earned a good reputation\u201d <\/em>(Hebrews 11:1-2 NLT).<\/p>\n

When we get off the fence and exercise our faith completely, God can come through for us in amazing ways. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what we like better than we realize. His timing is perfect in all things.<\/p>\n

Lord, we thank You for the amazing power of prayer. Thank You for interpreting our deepest thoughts, desires, and needs. Forgive us for wavering. Help us walk daily in the assurance of faith of the things we cannot see because we know that without faith, it is impossible to please You. In Jesus\u2019 Name. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
