Dying to Self–Abiding in Christ – Part 2<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cAbide In Me…\u201d<\/em> John 15:4<\/p>\n

Jesus came to earth to show us the way to live. He WAS and IS the Way, the Truth and the Life! He taught us how to walk in the fruit of the Spirit by the way He lived.<\/p>\n

Here are some ways we can die to ourselves:<\/p>\n

Repent of Apathy<\/strong>. Instead, walk in the love of God. Walk in mercy and truth. Walk in the Spirit. \u201cHe has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?\u201d<\/em> (Micah 6:8).<\/p>\n

Repent of Pride<\/strong>. Walk in humility. Put others first. \u201cWhen pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom\u201d<\/em> (Proverbs 11:2).<\/p>\n

Repent of Busyness<\/strong>. Wait on God and follow His lead. Pray for His direction each day.\u00a0\u201c\u2026in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path\u201d<\/em> (Proverbs 3:6).\u00a0\u201cPray without ceasing\u201d<\/em> (1 Thessalonians 5:17). \u201cBe still and know that I am God<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 46:10).<\/p>\n

I want to be more like Him every day and encourage others to do the same. I\u2019m thankful for the journey of life, to be able to run the race that is set before me. Final destination: Heaven! HIS WORD is TRUTH. It is a \u201croadmap\u201d to help us reach our final destination. \u201cYour Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path\u201d <\/em>(Psalm 119:105).<\/p>\n

The Holy Spirit will guide me into all truth and teach me. \u201cI will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, for you have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 31:7).<\/p>\n

Dear Lord, I thank You for Who You are and how much You care for us, Your children. Your ways are perfect, and You love us with an everlasting love. When we abide in You, we lack nothing. You give us everything we need for this journey of life. Let us lay aside everything that so easily ensnares us and let us run the race that is set before us. In Jesus\u2019 mighty name! Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
