A Miracle<\/strong><\/h2>\n

“He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.”\u00a0<\/em>Psalm 145:19<\/p>\n

I received a “gift” this week that has so blessed me. I want to tell you about it because I think it’s a gift to you too\u2014to all of you who have been praying for me! I had a checkup with my oncologist this week.\u00a0She told me she is very puzzled. Two years ago when I had the big surgery and spent weeks in the hospital, she had explained to me that there were two problems that they couldn’t fix.\u00a0Over time, the expectation was that those problems would cause even bigger problems and complications.\u00a0The outlook was grim.<\/p>\n

When she examined me this week, she found the problems were gone!\u00a0She couldn’t explain it.\u00a0She said there’s no way that could happen.\u00a0She kept saying she was puzzled, and couldn’t figure it out. I told her that “maybe it was an answer to all the prayers people have prayed for me.” She said “maybe so, maybe so.”<\/p>\n

I came home rejoicing!\u00a0I still have cancer and an inoperable tumor, but this “miracle” gave me renewed courage to pray for more healing miracles. According to my doctor, something like this doesn’t just happen.\u00a0This has been a wonderful, special, encouraging Christmas gift! I hope you receive it as such, too, because you have prayed for me.\u00a0Your prayers have supported and carried me. Thank you!<\/p>\n

I didn’t do a tree and Christmas decorations this year. It required more energy than I could muster. However, just across the street from me is a tree loaded down with bright red\/orange blossoms. Every time I see it, it feels like a beautifully decorated Christmas tree! I love it. It warms my heart.

I’m rejoicing in Christ’s birth\u2014Emmanuel, God with us, coming to earth! My heart is full of worship for this wonderful gift to mankind. In spite of our sin, our rebellion, and our weakness, God sent His Son to save us.\u00a0Thank You, Jesus, for coming.<\/p>\n

Father, keep our hearts full of worship because You came. May we know afresh that You are with us always. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
