So the Word is #1.<\/p>\n<p>To be close to Jesus is to get into His Word. How will we know God\u2019s will and ways if we don\u2019t know His Word? And not just know the Word. Obey the Word. Love His Words.\u00a0His Word that never changes.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the same Bible that Martin Luther believed. It\u2019s the same Bible that Billy Graham preached. His truth, His gospel, His plan of salvation hasn\u2019t changed:<\/p>\n<p><em>We are sinners destined for death.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jesus paid our sin debt.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>All who believe in Jesus are given eternal life.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>Yes, the Holy Spirit dwells in us and we should spend time in the presence of God as we worship in His Presence. We cannot give priority to just \u201cbeing\u201d in His Presence. We don\u2019t just need an emotional high. We need truth backing it up.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus said, <em>\u201cI am the Way, the <strong>Truth<\/strong><u>,<\/u>\u00a0and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me\u201d<\/em> (John 14:6).<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God<\/em>\u201d (John 1:1).<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Word became flesh and dwelt among us<\/em>\u201d (John\u00a01:14).<\/p>\n<p>Jesus is the Word. The Word became flesh.<\/p>\n<p>If we say we love Jesus, we must love the Bible. And obey.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf you love Me, keep my commandments\u201d<\/em> (John\u00a014:13).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Father, help us to live in Your truth as You have written it in Your Word.
