\u201cGod\u2019s the One Who rebuilds Jerusalem, Who regathers Israel\u2019s scattered exiles. He heals the heartbroken and bandages their wounds\u2026. Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we\u2019ll never comprehend what He knows and does.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Psalm 147:2-5 MSG<\/p>\n

He Knows<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Honestly, there are some days that I get caught up with what is going on in our government\u2014our world\u2014and the lack of love displayed, and lack of justice that I perceive\u2026. My heart desires for God to do something, but the beauty of Jesus is\u2014He IS doing something! We just don\u2019t know fully what that \u2018something\u2019 is at the present day and time. We need to ask for His strength and wisdom on how to live each and every day\u2014every hour\u2014every minute. Ephesians 6:12 tells us that our struggle is not between flesh and blood but against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.<\/p>\n

Our Lord is great with limitless strength! I need His strength always\u2014especially in this season\u2019s journey of so much unrest in our nation. I try to do my part in our world today\u2014in my Jerusalem\u2014my home, my family, friends, acquaintances, my church, my business, and my community. I try to shine His light wherever I may walk and with whomever I may meet in this dark world, but I cannot do it on my own. I need the Holy Spirit to fill me with His strength each and every minute of each and every day to shine His light, and to bring His love of compassion to the broken, lost, confused, angry, hurting people in our world\u2014now more than ever, as we see the nearness of the day of His coming.<\/p>\n

We, as Christians, need to be reminded every day of the following verses found in 2 Peter, and encourage one another in the Lord. We need to stay connected with other believers\u2014so important as we recognize that the day of our Lord is very near.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth He has promised, a world filled with God\u2019s righteousness. And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in His sight\u201d<\/em> (2 Peter 3:13-14 NLT).<\/p>\n

Lord, we ask that You fill us with Your Spirit daily. May we be ready with an answer to the hurting and the lost in our very confusing nation that we are living in today. May we show Your love with a gracious look\u2014or with our eyes\u2014and be sensitive to those around us and point them to You. Please do not let us get caught up in the news media or opinions of others; may we be found living peaceful and blameless lives in Your sight. We look forward to the day that we will be with You forever! We love You, Lord, and we ask these things in Your holy name, Jesus. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
