Pre-Decide<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Someone\u00a0shared with me about how God had spoken to her.\u00a0One day she felt the Lord asked her if she would trust Him with whatever happened in her life…come what may, she would keep her eyes and focus on Him.\u00a0She said “yes” to Him asking her that.\u00a0She knew He would be with her in whatever good thing or sorrow might come.<\/p>\n

Within days something very difficult happened in her life.\u00a0But she said because she had\u00a0“pre-decided”<\/strong>\u00a0what her focus would be, it helped carry her through some painful and difficult days.<\/p>\n

I love that!\u00a0We can\u00a0pre-decide<\/strong>\u00a0our response to hard times!<\/p>\n

It made me reflect on my life and Floyd’s.\u00a0We had had conversations with God like my friend, and we committed our hearts to trust Him in trials\u2026long before I was diagnosed with cancer and before he became sick.<\/p>\n

And I want to give testimony to how God has helped me, helped us, because of that decision.\u00a0Certainly it’s been hard.\u00a0But God has faithfully helped me\u2014and helped both of us when I first battled cancer before Floyd got sick.\u00a0There were some other things happening that made it a very difficult season.\u00a0But our decision was made\u2014we’d trust God and keep our focus on Him.\u00a0It made all the difference in the world!<\/p>\n

I’m purposing in my heart to keep\u00a0“pre-deciding”<\/strong>\u00a0to trust Him and keep my eyes, my focus on Him and Him alone.\u00a0A friend said to me recently, “If our trust is anywhere but in Jesus, we are lost.\u00a0It’s just as simple as that.”\u00a0So very true.<\/p>\n

“What consumes your mind controls your life.”\u00a0I am\u00a0pre-deciding<\/strong>\u00a0to fill my mind and heart with thoughts of the goodness of the Lord.<\/p>\n

Lord, we trust You in all things that are to come. Keep us close to You always, that we may know Your presence in the hardest things. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
