Expectancy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Some have asked me to report on how I’m doing. I’m happy to say that I’m slowly, but steadily, improving. I’m gaining strength, and my appetite is improving. Although I want to hurry things along, I’m so grateful to be getting stronger.\u00a0I had a consult with my doctor yesterday.\u00a0She’s very pleased with my progress. She wants me to continue resting and rebuilding.<\/p>\n

In the past, I have shared about praying for miracles. It was a sweet surprise to hear that a number of others have been prompted to pray the same way.\u00a0One person felt the Lord said to her to “expect miracles.”\u00a0I was struck by that.\u00a0It goes beyond praying\u00a0<\/strong>to expecting<\/strong>. That requires faith on our part. I’m\u00a0endeavoring to position my heart in a place of expectancy.<\/p>\n

Sometimes we don’t “expect” because we don’t want to be disappointed.\u00a0If we find ourselves in that state, we must take time to deal with our disappointments or else they will keep us from growing in faith.<\/p>\n

Maybe we don’t “expect” because we don’t think God cares\u2014or we don’t think He wants good for us.\u00a0The Bible is full of His love, care, and goodness.\u00a0It may be important to dwell in His word and let that truth soak into our hearts.<\/p>\n

We may not “expect” because we’re in a rut\u2014we’ve become lethargic in our walk with the Lord. It’s a new year\u2014a time for new beginnings.\u00a0We need to stir up our hearts and our walk with Him.<\/p>\n

Perhaps we don’t “expect” because we’ve simply stopped dreaming and believing.\u00a0There are a multitude of reasons why that could be the case.\u00a0We need to remove them in prayer, and ask God to put fresh dreams on our hearts.<\/p>\n

Whatever is holding us back, we need to bring it to the cross.\u00a0As we pray for miracles, it’s important to have expectant hearts of faith!<\/p>\n

In Daniel 3:17-18, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego “expected” God to show up for them\u2014and He did. I want to have that kind of faith. I want to expect the best\u2014expect God to make a way, expect God to open doors, expect God to bring showers of blessing, expect restoration, expect healings, expect a move of God, expect provision. I want a heart of expectancy!\u00a0I’m praying for that.<\/p>\n

Lord, give us a heart that expects and looks for You to move in our lives. Stir up our hearts for the new thing You are doing!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
