\u201cThose who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth forever.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Psalm 125:1-2 NKJV<\/p>\n

Enclosure<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During this continued pandemic, many of us feel that we are walled or fenced in. The dictionary describes enclosure<\/strong> as the separation and appropriation of land by means of a fence.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Lord shares\u2026\u201cAs the mountains surround (or enclose) Jerusalem, so the the Lord surrounds (or encloses) His people from this time forth forever.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s exciting to note that our Lord surrounds His people today, He did yesterday, and He will forever! We are surrounded by His presence each and every day! No matter what is going on around us\u2026no matter what place in the world we live in, and no matter what lie the world tries to convince us of, and no matter what fear the world tries to instill in us\u2014it is He Who is in charge today and forevermore! We who are children of the Most High King cannot be moved\u2026it is our part to trust in Him and allow God\u2019s peace to envelop us as we face the challenges set before us.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus\u201d\u00a0<\/em>(Philippians 4:7).<\/p>\n

When I choose to rest in His peace, I am then able to proceed through my day as if I were sailing in a boat on a calm lake while experiencing just the right amount of wind to carry me over the waters. Jesus surrounds me daily, and gives me His peace during this current COVID-19 pandemic. He also instills His peace in my heart while enduring the many restrictions that are imposed upon me during this time. He gives me freedom inside the walls of my home\u2026I am not in isolation when I have Jesus\u2014I am free wherever I am.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not inferring that my life has been all \u201crainbows and butterflies\u201d since the the coronavirus outbreak began, but I know that my Redeemer lives. I\u2019m at peace when I \u00a0trust in Him. However, when I\u2019m not in prayer, or miss a day without spending time in His Word, I find that His peace leaves my spirit, and I easily get irritated and frustrated, and I also find that I lack production with my business, daily chores, my writing, and the list goes on. At those times I just don\u2019t feel like doing anything\u2014the day simply wastes away. However, God knows me better than I know myself\u2014He quickly reminds me, \u201c\u2026straighten up and raise your head, because your redemption is drawing near\u201d\u00a0<\/em>(Luke 21.28).<\/p>\n

Lord, thank You for surrounding us in this present chaotic world. You make us like Mount Zion when we trust in You. We choose to stand strong with our heads held high because we know that You are coming soon! Amen<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>
