Over the last couple of weeks, I have had three women speak into my life just what I needed, and none of them were aware of the power of the words they spoke to me. The first occasion was at a doctor’s appointment when the nurse told me to be “kind” to myself. I am on a journey through this life and I am struggling. Then yesterday I was talking to a friend I have not spoken to in months and she told me “you are strong,” you will get through this. Then just this morning in a meeting the speaker told us to “nurture” ourselves.

So, it took three women in three different ways for it to finally sink in that I need to be kind to myself, know that I am strong, and to nurture myself. I am challenging myself to speak truth to myself, writing down three things each day that I am thankful for. Of course, there are hundreds of things I am thankful for each day, but to put a few of them in writing will help me to look back and remember all the good on my hard days. My circumstances are not likely to change, but I can sure change my attitude and find my new normal.

I know that God put these tree women in front of me to speak words of truth and I am grateful for it!

“The Lord is my strength and my song; He has given me victory” (Exodus 15:2).
