Jesus Is King<\/strong><\/h2>\n

When I was a child, my grandfather had a dog named King. He was a large Labrador\u2014strong, loving and protective. When we would go to the lake, I remember all of us kids taking turns jumping off the end of the pier, and King would jump in with us. He would either swim next to us or let one of us at a time hang onto his tail, pulling us to shore. It seemed from my childlike view that this went on all day. When my grandfather and my dad would travel for business, King would often stay at our house. My mom told me she always felt safe with him there to keep watch and protect us.<\/p>\n

Those are fond memories, but today when I think of the name King, I think of King Jesus. He also is big, strong, loving, and protective. He is who I find my peace and safety in.<\/p>\n

Spending time with that dog was something every member of my family enjoyed, and we missed him terribly when he was gone. I do not remember my grandparents ever having another dog. My deepest wish is that every member of my family would have the desire to spend time with the King of kings, Jesus, and get to know Him, wanting to just sit with Him enjoying His presence and feeling the joy, peace, protection and safety that comes with knowing Him and knowing that He will never leave them and is always there with them.<\/p>\n

The salvation of my unsaved loved ones is something that weighs heavily on my heart. I pray for their salvation; I have talked to them about Jesus, and they know that Jesus is my savior. I try to live my life in a way that shows Jesus through me.<\/p>\n

I spend time with my King every day. My favorite time of day is the early, quiet morning hours with my Bible and my coffee\u2014no distractions, just time with my King. I read His Word, the Holy Bible; I spend time in prayer, and I am learning to spend time in silence just listening for His voice. It is through these efforts that I have come to enjoy and love my Lord deeper. He is who I turn to, whether I am happy, sad, triumphant, or struggling, at all times and for all things. I feel His presence in my life and am so grateful.<\/p>\n

\u201cLord, I thank You for the example that You gave me by our family dog before I knew you. I thank You that You are now that forever King for me, and I pray that You will draw each unsaved loved one to You, and they will accept You into their lives. My King, my Lord, my Savior\u2014I love You! In Jesus\u2019 name I pray. Amen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
