\u201c\u2026I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His <\/em>robe<\/em>filled the temple.\u201d <\/em>Isaiah 6:1<\/p>\n

Filled To Be Sent<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I woke up early this morning singing:<\/p>\n

\u201cI see the Lord
\nSeated on the throne exalted
\nAnd the train of His robe fills the temple with glory
\nAnd the whole earth is filled
\nAnd the whole earth is filled
\nAnd the whole earth is filled with His glory
\nHoly, Holy, Holy, Holy
\nHoly is the Lord\u201d*<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

As always, it transported me back to a time when we sang it in a church years ago, and just as we got to \u201cand the train of His robe fills the temple with glory,\u201d the sun poured into the balcony in glorious golden shafts. I remember being in awe that God would chose to bless us with such a powerful reminder (to me anyway) that He knows where we are and what we are doing every moment of every day. The songs we sing or don\u2019t sing, the prayers we pray or don\u2019t pray, the words of encouragement we give or don\u2019t give\u2014He knows it all. He is sovereign, He is holy, and not only did He fill that temple on that particular morning, but He daily fills our physical temples with His glory, in the form of His Holy Spirit, if we just ask (Luke 11:13).<\/p>\n

Later in the passage of Scripture the song is based on, Isaiah is called to be a prophet. In Isaiah 6:8, he hears the voice of the Lord saying, \u201cWhom shall I send, and who will go for Us?\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Isaiah responds, \u201cHere I am! Send me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

God asks the same question today. \u201cWhom shall I send, and who will go for Us?<\/em>\u201d Who will teach, minister to, meet the physical needs of, love on, pray for, encourage, share the gospel with, and bring hope to My people? Our answer should be, \u201cHere I am! Send me.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Or do we think someone else will do it? Someone with more talent, more time, more money, more knowledge of the Bible, more\u2026something?<\/p>\n

As the sunlight poured in through the windows of that church, the Son pours Himself into us in the form of the Holy Spirit. Through us He reaches others (Acts 1:8). We don\u2019t need more of anything; we are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, which is more than enough for whatever God asks us to do and wherever He sends us.<\/p>\n

\u201cFather God, I ask that we be filled afresh with Your Holy Spirit. In His power may we always be ready to be sent. Amen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
