The sight of fresh falling snowflakes and snow \u201csticking\u201d brought a gigantic, childlike smile!\u00a0 Outside I spotted a sad tree with branches weighed down, touching the ground. Normally this small tree stands upright with limbs soaring towards the sunlight. But today it carried a tremendous burden to bear by itself with the heavy, massive snow. I was not sure if the tree would survive.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-25086 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lccredding.org\/church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Snowy-Tree.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"271\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lccredding.org\/church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Snowy-Tree-200x248.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.lccredding.org\/church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Snowy-Tree.jpg 263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 271px) 100vw, 271px\" \/>I suddenly thought about the heavy burdens in life and I could actually empathize with the small tree\u2014the times I felt myself dragging my limbs, perhaps unsure if I could even muster up enough strength to stand upright. But isn\u2019t it marvelous we have an undeniable God who sustains us? We are NOT bearing the burdens on our own! His Word says, <em>\u201cCast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved\u201d\u00a0<\/em>(Psalm 55:22).<\/p>\n<p>After the snow slowly melted, the branches on the small tree bounced upwards toward the light\u2014just as we also bounce towards His \u201clight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>\u201cYou are our marvelous Father whose greatness overreaches our understanding. Thank You that we can cast our burdens on You no matter what we face. May You touch and teach us Your ways as we continually experience Your sustaining grace.
