Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In recent days I have had lots of decisions to make.\u00a0It’s been a bit daunting.\u00a0I’ve been asking the Lord for wisdom, counsel, and direction. The Lord has been reminding me, in a number of ways, of His love for me, and that He is watching over me. It has been sweet, affirming, encouraging\u2014and has really strengthened my heart for what is ahead.<\/p>\n

I was talking to the Lord about all this one morning and reflecting on things He had been saying to me when I went to prepare my breakfast.\u00a0As I opened a container of blackberries\u2014right on top I found a very special one! I’m attaching a photo of it below.\u00a0It was a special unexpected little “kiss” from the Lord to my heart. The Lord knows how much little things like this bless me!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

One of the things the Lord has been saying to me is that He is at work in my life and mindful of every detail, doing things that I’m not aware of. Someone sent me a quote from John Piper that affirmed this.\u00a0“God is always doing 10,000 things in your life and you may be aware of three of them.”\u00a0Pretty amazing when you think about it\u2014and I’m sure there’s so much truth in that.<\/p>\n

God doesn’t waste any detail in our lives.\u00a0He is such an awesome, creative God that He is working in every aspect of our lives at the same time.\u00a0No matter what I’m walking through\u2014be it a good time or a hard time, be it for a day or for months, even years\u2014He is with me.\u00a0I can relax and rest in His love and care.<\/p>\n

When we love someone \u2013our husband\/wife, our children, our mother\/father, our siblings, our friends\u2014we care about the details of their lives.\u00a0We want to be\u00a0involved<\/u>\u00a0in the details.\u00a0How much more then does our heavenly Father, who Himself IS love (1 John 4:8), care about us and the details of our lives?<\/p>\n

It gives me such a sense of security to know that the God of details is watching over my life…even bringing a special blackberry into my day.<\/p>\n

\u201cFather, we\u2019ll never know another love like Yours. We stand in awe at all the ways You are at work in our lives. Amen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Dear Readers: Please remember to pray for Sally on the evening of Monday, Jan. 28th. Her cancer surgery will be taking place at approximately that time (in Cape Town, South Africa time zone.) Let\u2019s all put it on our calendars and lift her before the Lord.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>
