In His Grip<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I have a friend in England who always signs his letters and emails “In His Grip.\u201d From the first time I saw that, it impacted me.\u00a0And during this unexpected journey when he has written words of encouragement, that salutation has been such a reminder to me that God “has me.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the storms of life blow through our lives\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When it seems our whole world is turned upside down with unexpected events\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When one difficult thing after another keeps bombarding us\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When we’re so weak that just getting out of bed in the morning seems to take more energy than we have\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When we face decisions that seem like they’re impossible to make\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When the responsibilities seem so much greater than we can cope with or know how to handle\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When the stress is so great that our bodies cry out for it to stop\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When sickness takes us so low that we don’t know if we’ll survive\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When weariness is so great that we’re afraid we can’t hang on\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

When it feels like we’re all alone, we’re not\u2014we’re “in His grip.”<\/p>\n

He never, ever lets us go!\u00a0He holds on firmly to us even if our grip is slipping<\/strong>.\u00a0He is strong!\u00a0He doesn’t grow weary.\u00a0He’s not overwhelmed. He stays right by our side through whatever comes our way.\u00a0We’re “in His grip!”<\/p>\n

“The Lord will hold your hand, and if you stumble, you still won’t fall.”\u00a0<\/em>Psalm 37:24<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cLord, thank You for keeping me “in Your grip.”\u00a0Even when I\u2019m strong, I need You to take my hand and tell me that everything is going to be all right.\u00a0The nail-scarred hands that once bled are now holding my hand through my trials.\u00a0Thank You, Jesus!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>
