Heavy Weights<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There have been some things weighing heavily on my heart recently. The weight of them seems to have grown increasingly heavy.\u00a0A few days ago when yet another thing came up that weighed on my heart, I realized that the load was just too heavy.\u00a0I did what I should have done much sooner.<\/p>\n

I spent time with the Lord, and actively, one-by-one, gave each of the weights to the Lord.\u00a0I “cast” my burdens onto His strong shoulders.\u00a0I explained my concerns, my heartache, and I gave it all to the Lord.\u00a0It was a very special and precious time of prayer. I could actually feel the heaviness lifting from my spirit.<\/p>\n

I’ve continued to give these burdens daily to the Lord.\u00a0The result has been some wonderful “quiet times” with Him.\u00a0I’m so grateful that He is my burden-bearer. He is fully able to lift the weights from my heart and carry them for me.<\/p>\n

I saw a quote recently: “God is everything, or He is nothing.”\u00a0I’m so grateful that He is\u00a0everything<\/strong>! He can meet our every need.\u00a0He can carry the heaviest burden. He can minister to the deepest longings of our hearts.\u00a0He can speak words of wisdom and counsel into our minds. He can carry us through the hardest day.\u00a0He meets us with grace and strength when we’re weak.\u00a0He surrounds us with comfort when we’re hurting.\u00a0He breaks through with joy on the gloomiest of days.\u00a0How wonderful and faithful He is!<\/p>\n

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved”\u00a0<\/em>(Psalm 55:22).<\/p>\n

“Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you”\u00a0<\/em>(1 Peter 5:7).<\/p>\n

\u201cFather, thank You for being our burden-bearer. We know that You will carry us through. In the mighty Name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
