The Eye of Our Storms<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Yesterday was our shortest day of the year: 9 hours and 53 minutes.\u00a0I am so, so glad that our days will now be getting longer.\u00a0 I find the long, dark, cold nights hard. It seems to intensify everything.<\/p>\n

Another All Nations staff lady recently did a painting that spoke to my heart as soon as I saw it.\u00a0It will soon be hanging in our home!\u00a0I’m attaching it at the bottom of this update.\u00a0The painting is of a turbulent storm raging on the ocean\u2014big, foamy waves and dark, stormy skies.\u00a0But in the midst of the dark sky, there are gaps of light blue sky with the sun shining through. There truly couldn’t be a more perfect depiction of what I’ve been walking through. It captures my journey!<\/p>\n

I am so abundantly grateful that in the midst of the storm, His light of grace and strength always shines through.\u00a0Yes, the storms have been raging\u2014powerful, mighty hurricane type storms… but He is there like the “eye” of the storm with His provision for me to survive.\u00a0He shines through with love\u2014reminding me that He’s with me in the storm.\u00a0I’m not alone.\u00a0Oh how faithful He is!<\/p>\n

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.\u00a0When you pass through the waters, I will be with you”\u00a0<\/em>(Isaiah 43:1,2).<\/p>\n

“He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together.\u00a0He will hold you together.\u00a0He will keep you. Jesus loves you.\u00a0He is not punishing you. He is not pleased by watching you suffer. When you suffer, He suffers.\u00a0He will keep you.\u00a0He will pull you through.\u00a0He won’t allow you to fall apart”\u00a0<\/em>(Colossians\u00a01:17\u00a0ESV).<\/p>\n

\u201cGod, You are with us in the storms of life.\u00a0You will hear us when we call to You and ask for help. You will protect us, hold our hand, keep us in Your grip, and never leave us. Your Word tells us that we will have trouble, but it also says that You are there to help us. I am so grateful that You have been with me in the storms of the last 28 months. I couldn’t make it without You.\u00a0You are faithful!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n
