Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.\u201d <\/em>Psalm 100:4<\/p>\n<h2><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong>Emmanuel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A famous quote in Shakespeare\u2019s play, <u>Romeo and Juliet<\/u>, is \u201cWhat\u2019s in a name?\u201d\u00a0Our names can have specific meanings, but often we do not live up to those names.\u00a0Also true is that when our names are spoken, we can feel important and valued.<\/p>\n<p>However, there is One who has many names and who lives up to the meaning of those names.\u00a0God demonstrates His Names by what He does, by His character and attributes, and by His very being.\u00a0He is who He says He is, and we who believe by faith in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit trust those Names.<\/p>\n<p>We like to hear our names spoken when we converse with others.\u00a0 God also is pleased and blessed when we acknowledge His Names while talking with Him in prayer.<\/p>\n<p><em> \u201cThose who know Your Name will trust You, for You, LORD,\u00a0have never forsaken those who seek You\u201d\u00a0<\/em>(Psalm 9:10).<\/p>\n<p><em> \u201cTherefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow\u2026and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord\u201d<\/em> (Philippians 2:9-11).<\/p>\n<p><strong>E<\/strong>lohim\u2014Creator God<\/p>\n<p><strong>M<\/strong>essiah\u2014The Savior<\/p>\n<p><strong>M<\/strong>orning Star<\/p>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong>donai\u2014LORD, Master<\/p>\n<p>Jehovah\u00a0<strong>N<\/strong>issi\u2014The LORD my banner<\/p>\n<p>Jes<strong>U<\/strong>s\u2014Jehovah Saves<\/p>\n<p><strong>E<\/strong>l Shaddai\u2014All Sufficient<\/p>\n<p><strong>L<\/strong>ight of the World<\/p>\n<p>This Christmas, and throughout the year, find some quiet moments while you pray to speak the names of God.\u00a0Worship Him, bless His Name.\u00a0You will be filled with thanksgiving and truth of who He is.\u00a0He is EMMANUEL, God with us, always.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cDear heavenly Father, we stand in awe of who You are\u2014Yahweh, Jehovah, Elohim, El Elyon, Adonai, El Shaddai.\u00a0We humbly come to Your throne of grace and mercy in the Name of Jesus.
