Who Will Listen To Me?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

This letter was received from Living Room Ministries. We want to share it with you today, Mother\u2019s Day. You will see that it speaks to us all, whether we have children or not.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"A little girl with sadness in her eyes arrived to Living Room last night. Her name is Linda, and she is ten years old. Linda is an orphan from a village about a two-hour car drive away from Kimbilio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over a year ago, Linda was terribly burned on both of her legs while trying to light a kerosene lantern. She could only afford minimal treatment at the time and has suffered terribly with extensive wounds, pain, and now contractures in both of her legs. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This morning, her physical pain was treated, and the long and hard process of trying to heal her burns as well as her broken spirit was initiated. When Rachel, our Clinical Director, began to clean her wounds, Linda cried out with fear and pain: \u201cI am an orphan. Who is going to listen to me when I cry?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

With loving-kindness, Rachel replied: \u201cLook at me, Linda. I am your mother. The way I treat my child is how I will treat you. We love you and will be here for you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

With anguish in her voice, Linda went on to explain how she felt like God was punishing her and it was her fault that she had been burned. Again, with great compassion, Rachel looked her in the eyes and spoke these words of truth: \u201cLinda, it was an accident. You are a child of God, and He does not burn His kids. He loves you, and He is going to heal you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

As Mother\u2019s Day approaches, I am incredibly grateful for opportunities such as this to stand in the gap for children like Linda. At Living Room, through the grace of God, Rachel and our team are loving and healing little ones. Please pray with me for Linda. I have a feeling she does not yet know the power of love or the miracles that await her. And thank you, as always, for your love and support of Living Room.<\/span><\/p>\n
