Several years ago, I discovered plain Greek yogurt. I topped it with honey, and from the first bite, I was hooked. Since that moment, Greek yogurt with honey has been a staple in my diet. So I was delighted one day when I opened my Bible and read: <em>\u201cBy the time this Child is old enough to choose what is right and reject what is wrong, He will be eating yogurt and honey\u201d<\/em> (Isaiah 7:15).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I had read through the Bible before, but never had I noticed this verse. It is a verse talking about Jesus as a child, and it says that He ate yogurt and honey. Upon reading this, I felt like God was whispering a little secret into my ear. \u201cI ate the same food that you eat!\u201d I felt like He was telling me something about Himself for no other reason than to be known by me in this way. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This Scripture tells us something of God\u2019s divinity through His humanity. He was raised eating the same food as all of the other children in the region. But unlike the other human children, He chose right and rejected wrong.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">God wants to reveal things about Himself to all of us. &#8220;I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me, I was found by those who did not seek Me. To a nation that did not call on My name, I said &#8216;Here am I, here am I'&#8221; (Isaiah 65:1).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I believe that many of the things God wants us to discover about Him are hidden in such a way that we must search for them. I don\u2019t think He is trying to frustrate us, but I think He wants us to actually desire to know Him. He doesn\u2019t want us to feel content with knowing the little that we know now. He doesn\u2019t want our knowledge of Himself and His word to ever be complacent. As long as we are alive, Jesus wants us to keep searching for more of Him.<em> \u201cYou will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart\u201d<\/em> (Jeremiah 29:13).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our relationship with the Lord need never be stale or boring. Though He and His Word will never change, our Savior is very much alive. His word is very much alive as well. Things that are alive can move and do unexpected things. You can read the same verse several times and learn something new each time. <em>\u201cFor the Word of God is alive and active\u2026\u201d<\/em> (Hebrews 4:12).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Let us never think we know all that there is to know about God. Keep seeking Him with all of your heart. He wants to be known.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cDear heavenly Father, may we continue to seek and find all You long to show us about Yourself.
