“As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise You more and more.” Psalm 71:14 NIV

#Always Hope

This is written with chalk on a garage door in my neighborhood. I rarely pass by that it doesn’t make me smile and agree—there is always hope because God sits on the throne and He is more than able.

Funny, the things the Lord uses to reach us. My youngest daughter had a very rough freshman year of high school and one of the very unexpected things God used to give us hope during that year was the K-pop boy band BTS. I would put on their video “Not Today” to get her out of bed in the morning. The Lord used them to help us connect; she would laugh as I struggled to get YouTube up on the TV, and more days than not she would get up. It was also a way for me to say, “Not today, Satan; you can’t have her.”

There is hope in the beauty of a rainbow in the sky. It reminds me God keeps His promises. “I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which [is] between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh” (Genesis 9:13-15).

What are some things that give you hope? It would be lovely if you would share them in the comments!

Father God, Your Word tells us to set Christ apart as Lord in our hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks us about the hope we possess (1 Peter 3:15). Thank You for the gift of Your Son and the hope we always have in Him. Amen.
