Life Groups are intended to create deeper, more intimate, relationships that directly point toward restoration through Jesus Christ. They are centered on the Word of God and the Body of Christ with a purpose of moving those in the body from a number in a chair to being known by the church.

A Life Group is the place for those wanting a more intimate relationship with others in the church body. These groups will provide opportunity for community, conversation, and a deeper understanding of the Word of God. They are set up to meet you exactly where you are. So come as you are, and be prepared to see God move you from a number in a seat, to being known by the body of Christ.

Life Groups are set on a trimester calendar. Each semester or season will be 3-4 months long and new seasons will begin each January, May, and September. Each group is allowed and encouraged to remain together through every semester and season. However, we understand schedules change as does availability.

The frequency of each group meeting may vary from group to group. There are groups meeting once per month, every other week, and weekly. Check here to see when Life Group registration is open.

Groups meet on a trimester calendar beginning each January, May, and September.  As nearly every group will meet in the evenings, the frequency of those meetings will vary from group to group. Some will meet once per month, some twice per month and others ever week. There will be no groups meeting Wednesday nights and Sunday Mornings as we encourage all to join together for The Journey service and Sunday services.

Group location will be determined and communicated prior to the first meeting by the Life Group leader(s). Generally, all groups will meet in the homes of either a Life Group Host or Leader.

A typical Life Group will meet for 1-2 hours depending on the topic, focus, and discussion of the group. Groups will last 10-12 weeks with a new season beginning each January, May and September.

The majority of the groups will be given weekly discussion topics that are based on the weekly Sunday Morning sermons. These questions will be sent out following Sunday services and will be put together by the Life Group Coordinator, along with Life Group Leaders and Coaches.

Each season there will also be groups that will be discussing a specific topic that has been predetermined by the Life Group Coordinator and Leadership of LCC (i.e. Marriage, Financial Guidance, New Believer, etc.).

FREE! LCC Life Groups are financially free to join. The only cost required is commitment. You will get out what you put in and if you remain consistent and committed to your group, we trust you will receive so much out of it. We ask that all who have committed make these meetings a priority for the 3-4 months the group will be meeting.

From time to time there may be a cost for special focused groups with specific curriculum (i.e. Marriage, Financial Guidance, New Believers, etc.). If so, this will be communicated well ahead of time.

LCC Life Groups are purposed to help develop community within the adults at LCC Redding. Although some groups may be better suited for those with children, it is the responsibility of parents to make arrangements for their own childcare. However, we will do our best to help you find a group that fits your needs.

There are a few ways that you can find and choose a group:

There is a list of available groups at the Information Counter in the church foyer.

If you know someone leading a group, you may ask them about their group to see if it will be a good fit for you.

Prior to the start of each season (January, May, or September) you may visit our Registration page to see what groups will be available that season.

Signing up online is the best way to get plugged in to a specific group. Registration for LCC Life Groups is on a first come first serve basis. So once a group is full, it will be closed for that season. You can find LCC Life Group registrations available prior to the start of each life group season, we will keep registration open for 3 weeks into the beginning of each season. Registration is available on the LCC Registration page on the website.

We desire to have a variety of groups each season representing the different seasons of life we all find ourselves in (i.e. Young Married, Young Adult, Men, Women, Over 60, etc.) Although this is our desire, it is largely dependent upon men and woman stepping up to lead these groups. If you are looking for a specific age or season of life group please check our registration page at the beginning of each season to see what is available.

If you are interested in leading a group or making your home available to host a group please fill out this form.
