“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

I Know My Redeemer Lives!

During this stay-at-home time, the Lord has been taking me on a “dig deeper” journey. I have been reading some of Max Lucado’s books. He often speaks of God’s glory, His holiness, His awesomeness, and that He is infinite. It made me want to dig deeper into what these attributes mean for me.

In one of the books he referred to A.W. Tozer’s book, The Attributes of God. I was sure I had that book—I did, and I have been reading through it also.

Through all this digging He has been showing me some amazing things to bring me closer to Him. This morning He gave me this poem.

I Know My Redeemer Lives!

I know the Savior hears our prayers,
And always knows our deepest cares.
He’s there beside us holding us tight,
So we have no fear in the deepest night.

When we walk in His glorious power,
He gives us wisdom hour by hour
To live our lives in such a way
To bring Him glory day after day.

I thank You, Lord, You are always there,
And Your truth I will always try to share.
You promised You would always stay,
And that is the reason I can say,

“I know my Reedemer lives!”

Even though the title is found in Job 19:25, I felt Psalm 19:14 was what I wanted to use to inspire our readers.

Oh Lord, I pray that You will always fill us with a longing to know You better and better. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
