Faith Lived Out

I do love Jesus! He rescued me from a doomed life. He daily guides and provides. He is my best friend. He blesses me with His overwhelming presence. He is with me right now in the safety of my home; but a love relationship isn’t a relationship unless both parties are active participants. I pray for a God-drenched mind that stays in Him on purpose, so I can live out my proclaimed faith, trusting the Lord in each step.

In our relationship with the Lord, He has created us for a BEST individual purpose by which to glorify Him, and in doing what He created us to do I believe we are most satisfied. That’s our CALL in Him.

He’s delivered me in many areas in recent years and His continuous grace sustains me. Currently it seems I’m in a holding pattern, not accomplishing much for His Kingdom. Waiting isn’t comfortable, but it’s in this place I believe God is working out endurance and unseen trust as never before. I have to look to Him and be actively obedient in everyday life’s occurrences and opportunities. This also is a faith result: living in patient obedience.

“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see” (Hebrews 11:1 MSG).

 This faith is our reason and purpose for daily existence. Living it out, filled with the Holy Spirit, in obedience to God’s Word and love, there is true solace for this life. Faith is trusting in God’s promises. He’s promised a future and a hope when we rely on Him. He’s promised a Helper to guide us to all truth, and that Helper also enables us to endure when we don’t “feel” like it. The Amplified Bible defines faith as: “The inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power, wisdom and goodness of God.” I can apply this to the circumstances of my everyday life; when I absolutely trust God, He also makes this my desire.

The continuous prayer of my heart this year is to step out in faith in areas He calls me, without resistance and/or fear. It can be simply reaching out to my neighbor in kindness and generosity, or going to Africa. Lord, here I am, send me.

“Dear Lord, may my heart say yes to You by living out my faith in obedience. In Jesus Name, Amen!”
