“My earthly life clings to the dust; revive and refresh me according to Your Word.” Psalm 119:25 (Amplified Bible)

Daily Revival

When my heart is overwhelmed or at a loss of what to pray, I go to Psalm 119. The psalmist’s deep desire for God and His Word is captivating. The words become my prayer. As I read, I can feel the ache in his heart, as I feel in my own heart the longing for more of God: His righteousness, His intervention, His healing, His reality.

Biblical truth of end times events is more in front of us than ever. O Lord, our world so needs You. You are the answer.

“I am a stranger here on earth, do not hide Your commandments from me” (verse 19)and right before, in verse 18, “Open my eyes to see wondrous things from Your law.” I feel more  like a stranger every day as people make excuses as to why they don’t believe in God or that they believe, but not just like I do—they say, “I’m religious.”

I like to think I’m all in for the Lord, like a diver who is committed, engulfed, immersed (to plunge into something that surrounds or covers) in God’s truth. It is only possible by the power of the Holy Spirit. Believers abide in a different place; we live “in Him.” Jesus is the true vine. He says to dwell in Him and He will dwell in me (to live or to stay). No branch can bear fruit unless it abides in Him (John 15:4).

Living in Jesus involves loving Him with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength, and loving others as I do myself. Living in Him also involves being pruned to bear more fruit so that we grow and flourish, and are effective in His Kingdom. This glorifies Him. These are not random thoughts or aloof words. They are reality. (Oh Father, help me to grip Your will and purpose for me today.)

Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth” (Psalm 119:88).

“Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness. Revive me according to Your justice” (Psalm 119:149).“Your hands made me and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn Your commandments” (Psalm 119:73).

“Father, we trust that You hear and answer the cry of our hearts today. We need Your presence in our lives. Help us glorify You today in all we say and do. We cast all of our cares on You, because we know You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). In Jesus” loving, powerful name we pray, Amen.”
